Orgullo Hispano

I think a great deal of a designers influence has to be his or hers background. Its what they were exposed to growing up, its what theyve known their whole life. For me personally I ate, slept, and breathed my culture, I was taught to be proud of my heritage to embrace it. Looking back now I can say that its influenced my styles, my designs, my preferences in color pallets, all in all I think its going to continue to play a role in my designs. Im going to continue to try to be '' un orgullo hispano"

I dont really understand why a great art art form like graffiti is considered "outsider" art, so what if the artist doesnt have proper training, It takes a great deal of skill to create something like this, I would know since I have personally bombed "art"  like graffiti in my younger years. Graffiti holds a nice little place in my heart, some of my graphic design is sometimes influenced by it.

A huge part of my creative process would have to be music. It seems to me that I feel the most creative or have a good creative flow whenever I  have music going. whatever im listening to tends to have an influence on what I come up with. Its gotten to the point to where if I  know what I need to design I will choose the type of music that will more effectively produce that type of design.

Chuck Jones!!

I cant really go on with out saying that probably one of the greatest influences growing up, without a doubt has to be Chuck Jones. I remember waking up every morning and watching his illustrations. His style has somewhat translated to into my own, I love using cartoon like characters in my designs, I like being able to capture the personalities of the characters and being able to come up with an effective design utilizing them.

I love this illustration. All the complementary colors, how they all work with each other to enhance the image. The concept behind this idea is brilliant, it pretty much sums up semester so far, someone shot all the creativity out of me. The thing I like about this image is that its something I would do or would like to do, its just so insanely creative.I love this bright color pallet as well, Ive been working with this pallet this whole semester.

I love how this is set up. I love the bright complementing colors, how they pop off the page up against the dark background. Im not sure who the author is but someone designed it as a screensaver that you can get at www.duoh.com

Heres my little tribute to milton glaser, I love his surrealistic sense of style. Growing up his illustrations, graphic design were a huge influence on me growing up. The way he meshes  different objects together, the way he uses his colors to emphesize
